If you haven’t yet heard of Tertulia, it’s a fairly new online shop that has been profiled in the New York Times, NY Post and TechCrunch. As TechCrunch writes, “When you join the app, you can specify what kinds of books you want to read, and what kinds of people you want to hear from, like book critics, journalists, celebrities, scientists, entrepreneurs, athletes or entertainers.” The app scours social media mentions and other book content around the web to come up with recommendations tailored for each reader. Seems like a great use of machine learning to me!
