Thrilled to share that Ilana Masad reviewed The Expert of Subtle Revisions<\/em> for the Los Angeles Times this week:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Expert of Subtle Revisions\u201d isn\u2019t a political book, per se, nor is it moralizing. Menger-Anderson doesn\u2019t overtly connect 1933 Vienna with the first and second Trump administrations in Hase\u2019s near future. Instead, the plot follows Hase\u2019s investigation of her father\u2019s disappearance and Anton and Zedlacher\u2019s eventual encounter with time traveler Haskell. But as Hase herself knows from editing Wikipedia, neither history nor language are neutral, and Menger-Anderson superbly demonstrates how a writer needn\u2019t shy away from the political tensions of a historical period but can use them to heighten and contextualize setting, character and plot.” – Ilana Masad in the Los Angeles Times<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
